Excerpt:

Now, I laid down my fork and leaned into my seat. I knew she didn’t want to talk about this anymore, but I did. “This all sounds crazy to you, and maybe in the beginning, it was something to joke about, but now, I’m not sure. These pictures were taken directly out of my life, and this woman was in every one of them. You can’t tell me I just dreamed it from memory, because my memory isn’t that good! The photos were identical all the way from the clothes we wore, to the smile on our faces. Hell, even the background was the same! She was the only thing that was different. How could that be?” I stared at her, waiting for a response as she took it all in. “Like I said on the phone, I just don’t know what you want me to say. I’m not sure what you’re asking me. Is it weird? Yeah, totally, but I’m no dream expert, and neither are you. Like I said before, maybe it’s your subconscious taking over. I’m sure there’s a logical explanation, and it probably has some fancy scientific name.” “She’s my wife,” I said flatly. “I saw a picture of us from our wedding, and we looked like we belonged together. We know each other. I mean, really know each other. I wish you could see us together, because you’ve never seen me this way with anyone before.” “And what way is that?” “In love,” I answered. “In love,” Shelly repeated and then pushed herself away from the table. “Well, Maddy, me seeing you with her is something that will never happen. Do you wanna know why that will never happen?” “I know why you think that will never happen, but that’s where you’re wrong.” I stared at her and said, “I’m just gonna come out and say it. I think she’s real.”

Wrong Bride by Geri Foster

Title: Wrong Bride
Series: Accidental Pleasures Book 4
Author: Geri Foster

Misty Walker has agreed to be the wedding coordinator for the bride from hell, literally. When she overhears the future bride discussing how she and the lover plan to off the groom on the honeymoon. Misty decides she must warn the unsuspecting Mitch Collins.

Mitch arrives in the Dallas area drenched in doubts about marrying the wrong woman and wondering if he made a mistake. While waiting for the wedding date, a mysterious woman shows up at his place and after spending the night together, he realizes the wedding must be stopped.

The bride-to-be isn’t happy with the turn of events and takes matters into her own hands. Can Misty and Mitch learn how important it is to find the right life partner?

Excerpt:
Chicken Marsala sailed through the air before splattering on the young kitchen helper’s clean, white apron. Next, the plate the delicacy had been served on crashed into the wall, along with the utensils.

“You’re fired,” Priscilla McFadden screamed. “You’re too stupid for me to mess with. This whole wedding is going to be a disaster.”

Misty Walker slowly counted well past ten then took an infuriated breath. Though only eleven thirty, today had proven to be the worst morning yet for coordinating the McFadden/Collins wedding.

She approached the young aid. “It isn’t that bad. The caterer can make adjustments.”

“Adjustments?” Once more the bride-to-be screeched. “He’s ruined everything.”

With a brain smaller than an insect’s, the drama queen had no premonition or notion or inkling of how the end product would look. Nothing had happened that couldn’t be fixed, but Priscilla suffered from a lack of patience and good old fashioned acceptable behavior.

Bear Claw by Crissy Smith

Character Building in Paranormal Romance
Thank you for allowing me to post on the blog today! I am super excited to be able to share a little of my experiences and some information about my latest release Bear Claw.

When I first got the idea of the Shifter Chronicles series, I was excited to be able to write a novel length book about the different species of shifters.

After creating the setting and background for the book it was time to concentrate on the characters. I love writing books with paranormal elements.

Meet Jamie Ward the newest addition of the shifter Coalition. Jamie is a black bear shifter who is determined to do his job while protecting his friends and those who cannot protect themselves.

Jamie might look rough and tough on the outside with his biker clothes and tattoos but inside his heart is made of gold. All he wants is to find the one person that completes him. But that’s not easy. He spends all his time in his new political position and is only able to break away to visit the local library.

This brings us to our heroine of Bear Claw. Brandy Brooks is a mild mannered quiet woman who just wants to lose herself in books. When not reading or finding great stories for other people, she’s behind a computer penning her own erotic romance. Secretly she is a bestselling author who has to keep her identity hidden due to her family’s political ties.

Throwing these two together is explosive and heats up the pages. With Jamie working a missing person case and Brandy protesting the rights of shifters with her cousin these two strong people will take on the world and together they will win.

While of course Jamie and Brandy are the most important characters that were featured in Bear Claw we can’t forget about their friends and enemies.
Because we have to have our supporting cast!

With Bear Claw being the second book in the Shifter Chronicles series we actually met Jamie in book one Birds of Prey. Cody and Aubrey from book one appear in Bear Claw since they are two of Jamie’s best friends. But there is another character that appears in both books, Zak Lewis, the tiger shifter that needs his own story.

This group making up the core group of the characters will help keep the series running. However, we still need our bad guys!

The humans want to make every shifter register so they can keep track of all the paranormals. One group of shifters chooses to take matters into their own hands and fight back illegally, not caring whom they hurt.

The first faction in this group are using kids, like the missing teen Jamie is looking for, to do their dirty work. One teenager has already been put in a coma and Jamie has to race against time to save the others.

Building up these background shifters gave me an opportunity to play around with different personalities and traits. Our good guys can be bad but only to a certain point. Our bad guys can be as evil as our imaginations allow.

Put all of these groups together and we have one heck of a cast!
You can get a peek into the lives of everyone I’ve mentioned. With the release of my latest novel , Bear Claw it’s a great time to gain a few friends.

Once again thanks for letting me spend this time with you and I hope you’ll give Bear Claw a try soon!

Blurb for Bear Claw:
Beauty and grace meet muscles and tattoos. When what’s on the outside doesn’t match the inside, sometimes you just trust your instincts.

Jamie Ward is the leader of the Bear Unit for the Shifter Coalition. He uses his big, tough biker appearance to intimidate his suspects. It works for him, except in finding a mate.

A recent resident of Lake Worth, Arizona, Jamie finds himself at the local library where he meets the woman who might just be worth risking everything for, including his heart. If only he could get up the nerve to ask her out.

Brandy Brooks has a secret. She writes erotic romance mysteries under a pen name. Hiding her identity is second nature to her and she enjoys living in the shadows—until a sexy biker starts visiting her place of employment. For once in her life, she wishes to be seen. But Jamie doesn’t appear interested.

The two navigate carefully through the beginnings of a relationship that is interrupted by Jamie’s missing person cases and the threat of war between humans and shifters. They must work together to keep each another safe when their night out literally explodes around them.

Author Bio for Crissy Smith:
Crissy Smith lives in Texas with her husband, daughter, and three Labrador retrievers. The three dogs love to curl up under her computer desk and nap while she writes. It doesn't leave a lot of room for her but what's a woman to do?

When not writing or reading, she enjoys hunting, camping and shooting. But she has a girly side too and is addicted to pedicures and coffee.

She has been writing since she was a teenager and still loves everything to do with the paranormal. Her stories and characters all have a place in her heart. She loves the alpha male, the dominant werewolf, or the Master vampire which find their way in most of her books.

Picture this, a coastal town where almost everything is prohibited, alcohol, drugs, sex and human rights. The residents of Wilde City are divided into three social classes, the rich, the working poor and the criminals. Buck is among the poor while his future lover Holden is among the rich.

Buck Baxter, Love Detective is the first book in The Buck Baxter Mysteries. The theme is an edgy suspense murder plot with a touch of intimacy. Also featured are the pious religious hypocrites. The characters are fascinating as well as attention-grabbing.

Buck’s motto of never make friends, never make enemies, and never fall in love is a survival shield he constructed as a child. His shield served him well until he met Holden, at first sight; Buck’s shields began to crumble. Yet Buck is still haunted by his dark past which restricts emotional involvements. Buck is hired to investigate a cheating spouse case. This is nothing unusual for Buck, or so he thought. Buck has two mysteries working at the same time, the cheating spouse as well as Holden secretly stalking Buck. As Buck digs deeper into the case, he encounters a few twists that lead him to the mob’s doorstep, not the best place to be if you value your life.

Holden is not what he appears to be, it is his methods that cause Buck to question Holden’s motives. Holden is a compassionate man with honorable intentions towards Buck. What’s more, Holden has a secret for Buck’s ears only.

Geoffrey Knight has created an outstanding riveting saga filled with intrigue, Tommy gun shoot outs, booze, prostitutes in addition to a dash of amusing dialog. I enjoyed Buck Baxter, Love Detective immensely.

Keeping Secrets By Lisabet Sarai

Keeping Secrets
By Lisabet Sarai

Welcome to the blog tour for my new erotic romance,  The Ingredients of Bliss. This novel is part of Totally Bound's What's Her Secret imprint. The books in this series feature real, modern day women, each of who has  a secret which make her extraordinary.

This is my second title for this imprint. In my first, my short story Her Secret Ingredient, the so-called secret is obvious to the reader. In fact, it's even discussed in the blurb. It's hidden only from the other characters.

When Totally Bound asked me to write a novel-length sequel for that book, I was forced to concoct a new secret for my heroine, Mei Lee “Emily” Wong. I knew it had to be something more crucial than the simple use of the aphrodisiac in the previous tale. Furthermore, for the sake of suspense, I couldn't reveal the secret until the book's climax. What is Emily hiding from her lovers and from the world? I needed to make my readers wonder.

I have a confession to make. Actually, I didn't figure out Emily’s secret until the third major revision of the book.

My problems determining her secret were partly due to the fact that the original title was “Her Secret Weapon”. Hence I was thinking in terms of some sort of unusual skill or power Emily might possess which would assist her in rescuing Harry and Etienne from the clutches of the mobsters who had kidnapped them. Emily is  Chinese, from Hong Kong. I toyed with the notion that her Chinese heritage was her secret weapon, which would enable her to understand the thinking of the captors. My editor felt this was too vague, though, and ultimately I had to agree.

It's probably an overstatement to say that I had a flash of inspiration, but one day as I was struggling with edits, an idea popped into my mind – a secret nobody would suspect, but which would bear directly upon the plot. As is often the case with inspirations, this one felt exactly right – my editor even agreed! Next I had to go back and weave some clues into the book. That turned out to be fairly easy.

I breathed a sigh of relief. It worked – much better than I would have expected.

So what's Emily's secret?  Come on, you know I won't tell. Keep your eyes open as you read, though, and perhaps you can guess!

One sexy French chef. One kinky American TV producer. One ambitious Chinese gal who thinks she wants them both. The ingredients of bliss? Or a recipe for disaster?

Accomplished cook Mei Lee ‘Emily’ Wong knows exactly what she wants—her own show on the Tastes of France food channel. But life is full of complications. First, her deceptively nerdy producer, Harry Sanborne, initiates Emily into the delights of submission. Then her boss, legendary chef Etienne Duvalier, begs her to dominate him. Emily just can’t resist—especially when Harry orders her to explore her inner Mistress. Suave and sexy Etienne will do whatever she asks—in the bedroom if not in the kitchen. And Harry, her lovingly diabolical Dom, adores pushing Emily’s limits.

When the network sends the trio to France to shoot a series of cooking shows on location, Emily knows her career is on the upswing. Her plans fall apart in Marseille as a Hong Kong drug syndicate kidnaps both Etienne and Harry. The Iron Hammer Triad mistakes Etienne for notorious gangster Jean Le Requin, who has stolen their drug shipment, worth millions. Emily realizes she must find the real Le Requin, retrieve the purloined dope, and bargain it for Harry’s and Etienne’s lives. The secret she’s been keeping from Harry might prove useful. Still, what chance does one woman whose knife skills are limited to chopping vegetables, have against the ruthless cruelty of two criminal organizations?

About Lisabet Sarai:

I started both writing and cooking at an early age, and I've continued to indulge both passions as I've matured. Usually I'm an improvisational cook; I'm not all that fond of following recipes, and when I do, I almost always introduce my own variations. My philosophy tends to be the more spice, the better.

You could say the same about my writing. Since the release of my debut novel Raw Silk in 1999, I've published lots of erotica and erotic romance in almost every sub-genre– more than fifty single author titles, plus dozens of short stories in various erotic anthologies, including the Lambda winner Where the Girls Are and the IPPIE Best Erotic Book of 2011, Carnal Machines. My gay scifi erotic romance Quarantine won a Rainbow Awards 2012 Honorable Mention.

I have more degrees than anyone would ever need, from prestigious educational institutions who would no doubt be deeply embarrassed by my chosen genre. Widely traveled but still with a long bucket list of places to go, I currently live in Southeast Asia with my indulgent husband and two exceptional felines, where I pursue an alternative career that is completely unrelated to my creative writing.

Rich Tapestry by Ashe Barker

Black Combe
Black Combe is the West Yorkshire moorland setting for most of my trilogies. Some of my stories feature parts of the Lake District too, which is another favourite haunt of mine and the setting for the opening scene in Rich Tapestry.

The house at Black Combe is fictitious, but was inspired by a number of properties I know, a sort of cocktail of some of my favourite country homes. I’ve embellished it rather as the stories have developed, but it was always a large home, a barn conversion with bells on. The actual number of bedrooms is left unclear, but there are at least six.  I did take something of a liberty with the name of the house. Black Combe is actually a mountain in south Cumbria but it seemed to fit so I used it

The most striking feature of my Black Combe is the views. The surrounding countryside is spectacular, mile after mile of rolling moorland, a timeless and colourful landscape made famous by Emily Bronte in Wuthering Heights. Top Withens, the ruined farmhouse generally accepted to be the inspiration for Emily’s masterpiece is still standing, and is a much loved haunt of tourists and hikers on the Bronte Way. It is just a couple of miles from my fictional Black Combe. The location is somewhere between Haworth and Colne, a stunning part of the Bronte moorland scenery and a route I travel quite often on my trips to the north west of England. It was as I returned from one of these excursions that I started to imagine a house here, and the collection of people who might inhabit it.

In Rich Tapestry this unique setting captivates Summer Jones when she first arrives as a guest. She shouldn’t like Black Combe, but she does. It is everything she normally tries to avoid – noisy, busy, crowded, but in spite of all that she seems to fit in. The place has a few surprises in store for her though, including more than one reunion with someone she thought she would never see again.

She’s unsure of herself, scared of how Dan makes her feel, and terrified of what he might instruct her to do next. She knows she won’t refuse him. But despite the bustle and din, and Dan’s unsettling presence there, she finds that Black Combe is a safe place, a calm place, a place full of friends, people who seem determined to like Summer despite her insecurities. What better setting for Summer and Dan’s story to unfold?

I’ve tried to do justice to the local scenery, both in Yorkshire and in Cumbria where Summer and Dan first meet. I believe we are all shaped by the places we live and love, and this is just as true of characters in books. I feel that the setting for my stories is almost a character in its own right, and I try to share with my readers the fascination that these wonderful places hold for me. I hope it works.

Blurb for Rich Tapestry:

No act of kindness goes unpunished.
Summer Jones likes things to be tidy. Predictable, well-ordered and meticulous—she likes to be in control. So when she finds herself waiting for a friend in a BDSM club, she is horrified when an attractive Dom offers to show her around. She agrees, but there’s a catch. Her sassy mouth has earned her a punishment at his hands. She has to accept his terms or spend the evening alone. Despite her apprehension, Summer can’t deny her curiosity about this lifestyle and the pleasures it seems to offer.

But will one night with accomplished Dom, Daniel Riche, fulfil her dreams, or will it just prove to her what she always suspected, that anything so intense is best avoided?

Scared, confused, and utterly horrified at her response to Daniel’s touch and his dark brand of pleasure, Summer still finds herself yearning for more. Why, despite her pleas and his obvious appreciation of her body, is he peculiarly reluctant to deliver all she demands from him?

Hurt and confused, Summer is desperate to escape. But can she leave her memories of Daniel behind? Does she really want to?

Author Bio for Ashe Barker:

Until 2010, Ashe was a director of a regeneration company before deciding there had to be more to life and leaving to pursue a lifetime goal of self-employment.

Ashe has been an avid reader of women's fiction for many years—erotic, historical, contemporary, fantasy, romance—you name it, as long as it's written by women, for women. Now, at last in control of her own time and working from her home in rural West Yorkshire, she has been able to realise her dream of writing erotic romance herself.

She draws on settings and anecdotes from her previous and current experience to lend colour, detail and realism to her plots and characters, but her stories of love, challenge, resilience and compassion are the conjurings of her own imagination. She loves to craft strong, enigmatic men and bright, sassy women to give them a hard time—in every sense of the word.

When she's not writing, Ashe's time is divided between her role as resident taxi driver for her teenage daughter, and caring for a menagerie of dogs, cats, rabbits, tortoises and a hamster.
